Each person has different concerns and goals for therapy; rest assured I will tailor my therapeutic approach to your specific needs.  Because everyone's circumstances are unique, the length of time therapy can take to accomplish your goals will vary and can depend on things such as the issue we are treating, your desire for personal development, your commitment, and the factors that are driving you to seek therapy in the first place. At the end of our first appointment, I will provide you with feedback on the recommended frequency and duration of services so that you can make an informed decision about your care.

Depending on your current health insurance provider or employee benefit plan, it is possible for services to be covered in full or in part. I am currently in-network with Avera Health Plans, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Sanford Health Plans, United Medical Resources, and United Behavioral Health. I'd encourage you to contact your provider to verify how your plan compensates you for mental health services. 

I'd recommend asking these questions to your insurance provider to help determine your benefits:

• Does my health insurance plan include mental health benefits?
• Do I have a copay? If so, what is it?
• Do I have a deductible? If so, what is it and have I met it yet?
• Does my plan limit how many sessions per calendar year I can have? If so, what is the limit?
• Do I need written approval from my primary care physician in order for services to be covered?

Telehealth services are available for individuals who are located in the state of SD at the time of their appointment. While telehealth can be a useful option for many people, please note that there are some services and situations in which telehealth is not appropriate.
